Those of you who want to spend a day trapping and tagging deer with the Game Commission's deer biologists this winter had better put the finishing touches on your record books as the November 1st deadline for the Early Bird submission is rapidly approaching! To qualify for the trip you must have at least 3 outreach programs documented in your record book. For Record Book guidelines visit the WLA Record Book page, where you can also download the necessary forms. The Texas Brigades also has some nice guidelines and tips on record book construction here. Send your books to me, postmarked no later than 11/1.
I will send your Record Books back to you by the end of the year, so that you can continue to add outreach documentation for final submission in April. Then we will count up all of your points and award Assistant Team Leader positions to the students with the most points.
